A truly international audience celebrated the world’s best whiskies in one of England’s finest venues – the Merchant Taylors’ Hall.
The world’s best distillers and industry experts gathered at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in London on Thursday 30 March for the World Whiskies Awards, which have been presented by the Whisky Magazine for 23 years.
During the awards evening, the world’s best winners across 23 categories of whisky, including single malt, bourbon, blended, rye, pot still and design, were announced and celebrated.
As a premium paperboard supplier to the industry, Oppboga Bruk together with its sister company KAPAG were proud to sponsor the World’s Best Blended Malt. This prestigious award went to Nikka Taketsuru, Pure Malt (Best Japanese, No Age Statement). Congratulations!
Further congratulations must go to the winners sitting at our table, namely Aurora Spirit Distillery (Norway), Stauning Whisky (Denmark) and Cotswolds Distillery (England) – three young distilleries that are already achieving success on the world stage.
